JEWELRY CARE
Care Tips
-
Apply lotion, cosmetics, hairspray, and perfume before putting on your jewelry.
-
When taking off your jewelry, wipe each piece with a clean, soft cloth to remove oils and perspiration.
-
Never expose jewelry to household cleaning products.
-
Never expose jewelry to chlorine in swimming pools.
-
Remove jewelry before going to bed or doing physical activity.
-
Store each piece separately when traveling.
Cleaning Instructions
-
Know your gemstones before you start cleaning.
-
Sensitive gemstones such as pearl, amber, emerald, and opal, as well as heavily soiled jewelry, should be cleaned by a professional.
-
Clean in a secure location, not over the edge of a sink where a piece could slip down the drain.
-
Use only a very soft brush, never sharp or hard objects, to gently scrub the inside and outside of the jewelry and remove dirt, especially under the stones.
-
Wash your jewelry regularly with soapy water or a commercial jewelry cleaner. Lotions, soaps, and skin oils can dull the sparkle of diamonds and gemstones.
-
When you have finished scrubbing, rinse in warm running water, shake or blow on the piece to remove excess liquid, then gently polish with a jewelry cleaning cloth.
