Cleaning Instructions

  • Know your gemstones before you start cleaning.

  • Sensitive gemstones such as pearl, amber, emerald, and opal, as well as heavily soiled jewelry, should be cleaned by a professional.

  • Clean in a secure location, not over the edge of a sink where a piece could slip down the drain.

  • Use only a very soft brush, never sharp or hard objects, to gently scrub the inside and outside of the jewelry and remove dirt, especially under the stones.

  • Wash your jewelry regularly with soapy water or a commercial jewelry cleaner. Lotions, soaps, and skin oils can dull the sparkle of diamonds and gemstones.

  • When you have finished scrubbing, rinse in warm running water, shake or blow on the piece to remove excess liquid, then gently polish with a jewelry cleaning cloth.
